Famed gospel singer Marvin Winans was robbed Wednesday afternoon at a gas station in Detroit, Associated Press reports.
His assailants fled away with cash and Winan’s SUV, WXYZ-TV reports.
Winans, 54, was attacked by four or five young men as he fueled his vehicle. Winans, who is a pastor of Perfecting Church on Detroit’s side, is “saddened” by what happened, saying “this kind of nonsense just has to stop.”
“It’s just the savageness of what’s happening in the streets,” he said.
