J. Cole is calling for his fans to boycott the NFL. Cole wrote a passionate statement regarding the boycott on Twitter.

“God bless every player that finds courage to kneel today,” Cole wrote. “But the real power comes from you deciding to not watch.”

Cole goes on to say Colin Kaepernick is being denied a job in the NFL because he kneeled during the national anthem.

“Same ones who speak out against Trump today, are the same ones that denied a qualified man a job because he took a stand against injustice. How do they make it right? I know there are people smarter than me with better answers. But here’s one. And compensate the man for his losses if they determine he was. Every day they stay quiet on this they’re saying that they condone what’s happening to Kap and the message it sends.”

Cole says the next plan would be to go after the NFL’s sponsors.

Cole’s remarks come after Trump called for his own boycott of the NFL. Trump called for the NFL to fire or suspend players who were “disrespecting our flag and country.”

“if a boycott doesn’t force them to action, don’t even trip. This is where the real flex happens. So, next you turn your attention to these sponsors,” he wrote. “If not, why are you spending all this money with a League that clearly condones that? … ”
