King Louie Says He Didn’t Listen To Common Growing Up

Chicago Hip Hop and R&B didn’t just pop in 2013. There were plenty of artists from the Chi who found mainstream success, including Do or Die, R. Kelly, Crucial Conflict, Twista, Common, Da Brat and Kanye West

One of the Chi’s rising Hip Hop acts, King Louie, found influence in a few acts in the above mentioned.

“I used to listen to Crucial Conflict and Twista. R. Kelly,” the “My N-----” rapper explained during an interview with XXL Magazine.

But King L told the Hip Hop magazine he and associates weren’t really listening to Common like that.

“The s--- Common was talking about was going over our heads,” King L explained.
