Lil Durk and Dej Loaf React To Detroit Rapper Dex Osama’s Murder

The Hip Hop community is currently reeling from the sudden death of up and coming Detroit rapper Dex Osama. Dex was fatally shot early Monday morning following a fight between his entourage and another group of men at the Crazy Horse gentlemen’s club on City’s Southwest side.

Lil Durk and Dej Loaf are two recognizable names who have expressed shock and sadness over the “Jack Boy Sh*t” rapper’s demise.

Durk took to IG, writing, “Rest up my n***a @dex_osama cold world.”

Dej Loaf wrote a heartfelt message on her IG account:

“He had the whole package. As Soon as heard a small snippet of his music I knew he was IT and wanted to hear/see more! Just Different, u know! I know a star when I see one! I figured the world needed to hear u! If I knew the other day was gonna be our last time talking I would’ve said way more! You were gonna GO, off of your first mixtape! Trust me! Lol they couldn’t take it! Rest up #ChoppaBoy.”

Dej Loaf was riding for Dex ever since he starting getting a buzz. She stated he was next up out of Detroit.

Meek Mill was deeply affected by Dex’s death and took to IG to send his condolences.

The caption on Meek Mill’s post read, “Damn RIP YOUNGIN….. Had a lot of talks with you about getting out them streets and chasing ya dreams! I really believed in you and seen you putting on for Detroit! RIP @dex_osama for all my fellow young kings coming up tryna make it out, take ya time and think about where you want ya life to go! MAY GOD BLESS HIS SOUL! Never let them streets shatter ya dreams!!!”

Dex Osama’s shooting was not a random occurrence. Reporter Nick Monacelli of WDIV-TV says the Detroit rapper’s death was possibly an orchestrated hit.

“Dex Osama shot outside strip club. Witnesses say he ran to gas station for help, died after. Shot twice, upper chest and stomach. #Local4

“…Shooter was outside strip club waiting for Dex Osama. Shooting was closer to gas station. #Local4,” Monacelli wrote on Twitter.

ABC 7 Detroit reported the “Clean Up Man” rapper was killed following an argument over a woman at the gentleman’s club.

A witness at a nearby gas station tended to Dex’s injuries by applying pressure to his wounds in an effort to keep him alive. Dex told him he was getting cold as the two waited about 20 minutes for an ambulance to arrive, Fox 2 Detroit reports.

According to the witness, Dex’s dying words were: “Please don’t let me die.”

Dex became the talk of social media earlier this year after firing a gun during his “Heavy” video shoot.

Dex’s music caught the attention of Meek Mill.

Meek took to Twitter to rhyme a lyric from Osama.

“Lil n#%gas…. We’ll knock down Ya big homie #osama,” his tweet read.

He posted a screen capture of his tweet onto IG with a caption, reading, “@dex_osama my type of music.”
