Lil Durk Shows Struggle In ‘Don’t Understand Me’ Music Video

Durk’s eyes are on the prize. The OTF rapper is grinding for his family and crew.

Durk dropped the his latest visual for single “Don’t Understand Me.”

In the opening seconds of the visual, Durk can be seen wearing a black hoodie with the word “Life” in white lettering emblazoned on his back.

Durk is filmed in a graffiti-plastered back alley. He is surrounded by burning trashcans and older television sets.

The television sets display violent images of African Americans struggling during the height of the nation’s Civil Rights Movement.

Durk raps, “My vision ain’t the same vision my livings ain’t the same living/See what you know bout being missing spending/Plenty weeks in them kitchens/Spending plenty weeks in them trips where shit get real, real fast/Where you get killed fast without a plane you won’t last/See life you only get one/Your dad took your ass done/So live it up don’t mess it up and give it up.”

Durk smashes a television set in the visual’s conclusion. This may be symbolic of the Def Jam rapper putting an end to his struggle.

Durk’s single appears on his “Signed To The Streets” mixtape.
