Lil Durk revealed in June he was Muslim. He recently revealed it was his father who converted him to practice the Islamic faith.
Lil Durk’s dad, Dontay Banks aka Big Durk, was sentenced to life in prison after he was convicted in 1994 of distributing crack-c—— throughout South Side Chicago.
Durk recorded a phone call of his father explaining how proud he was of him converting to the Muslim faith.
Big Durk said, “One of the greatest joys any father can have is one of his sons is guided to his way of life- Islam. That is the greatest blessing of all.”
Durk previously was upset with Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States.
Trump called for the ban on Muslims entering the country following the deadly Paris Attacks that claimed the lives of at least 130 people and the mass shooting in San Bernardino, CA that killed and injured dozens.
Durk took to Twitter to slam the GOP presidential nominee.
“@realDonaldTrump you fu as hell u won clown of the year,” he wrote.
