Lil Herb’s long-term goal is to own his neighborhood and leave his mark there, according to a recent interview with Vibe.
“I want to own my neighborhood and create opportunities for my family, my homies and the shorties in my neighborhood,” he said.
Herb agreed with Vibe that there was a need for a youth center in his hometown.
“A lot of kids look at they way out as sports, drug game or rap,” he said. “Rap is a big way for kids to make it out.”
Herb said he simply wants to make a difference for everyone in his community.
“I just wanna make a difference in my city like despite what I am and what I got going on and the type of lifestyle that I have lived, I’m still for the people,” he said. “I still think and I still plan for my future.”
