Lil Reese has had the honor of working with a slew of talented producers. Reese is now looking to up his game on the production tip. The Chiraq rapper hopes to obtain legendary production work from none other than Mannie Fresh of Cash Money Records fame.

“Aye sumbody tell many fresh send me a beat den imma rap on it hit put ya money on ittt imma do it 4my people,” he wrote.



Reese isn’t the first Chicago artist to request production from the N’awlins native.

Chief Keef even asked Mannie to send him some work.

Mannie Fresh, born Byron Thomas, is credited with bringing mainstream success to the New Orleans sound.

Fresh is the music producer who built the original Cash Money Records into the powerhouse it is today.

Producer Mannie Fresh recently probed today’s music industry and the quality of the musical content it is producing.

The Big Tymer said classics are hard to find today.

“Think about it right now how songs are getting played. What’s a classic song?” he asked during an interview with Vlad TV. “When a song is done in this era, it’ done. You’re not going to hear that song five years from now at a wedding reception and be like ‘that’s my jam.’ Throw it in the sea, it’s done with it.

“…The music not being felt the way it was.”
