P. Rico has been sentenced to three years in prison for being in possession of a firearm. The “Hang With Me” rapper was sent to Statesville Correctional Center on Thursday, July 7, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections website.

Rico’s projected discharge date is Jan. 27, 2019. The Chi Town rapper can possibly be paroled on Jan. 27, 2017 if he can stay trouble-free during his stay.

P. Rico was prepping the release of his “The Rico Act” project before his incarceration.

Earlier this year, P. Rico issued a statement to his fans in a recorded phone call.

“I’m in this b***h, man,” he said. “Can’t wait to get out. I’m keeping my head up, can’t wait to get out. I’m finna take off when I get out.”

In December 2015, Rico requested his fans write him when he was in Cook County.

His current mailing address is unknown at the moment. We’ll update this info as it becomes available.
