Rich The Kid isn’t here for the Famous Dex hate. Rich recently came to Dexter’s defense after news of his domestic dispute with his girlfriend resurfaced.
XXL Editor-in-Chief Vanessa Satten revealed footage of Dexter beating his girlfriend was the deciding factor in him not making the 2017 XXL Freshman class during a sit-down interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club.
“We argued a lot over the Famous Dex situation,” she said. “There are a lot of political issues there. I’m not really sure so much how long it’ll take to clear up before you get to the next level. …There’s a hurdle to get over there and I don’t know if right now it’s gonna happen.”
Tish Hyman is pleased with XXL Magazine’s decision to not include Famous Dex in its 2017 Freshman class. Tish is credited with leaking footage of Dexter assaulting his girlfriend in September 2016.
Hyman took to her Instagram page to speak on Dexter trashing an apartment she rented to him and the assault of his girlfriend.
She captioned her post, “About a year ago I rented my apartment to @famousdex . During his stay he trashed my apartment resulting in 25k in damages And he beat the s**t out of his girlfriend in my hallway. The landlord send me video footage of the beating which I posted on my wall after the incident. Why’d I chose to post it? Because as a female in the music industry, yes, I feel a certain type of way when a man takes advantage of, and beats a female. THIS IS THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN. Some immature men think hitting women is ok and That s**t needs to stop. So yes I put him on blast. Thank you @xxl for taking a stand against domestic violence!! #standagainstdomesticviolence #karmaisabitch @vsatten #famousdex #dexter.”
Hyman faced much criticism in the Kollege Kidd IG comment section for her words, and took to the comment section to suggest he go to rehab.
She wrote, “Look guys. He beat the girl not me. He afterward trashed my Penthouse and costed me 25k. He did this s**t to himself. Maybe he should go to rehab and get off lean and be a great man. I know he can do it. I’ve talked to him many times before he decided to do this. But hitting women is not ok [no] matter how good your music is!!!”
Rich The Kid shot back at Hyman in our comment section.
“Tell that h*e eat d**k,” Rich wrote.
Dex was upset with Satten for using his domestic situation as reason for his exclusion from the mag.
“That’s the reason you could come up with that? That lady? That f*****g lady right there? Mam, you too disrespectful,” Dexter said. “B***h, she just had my son! F**k you talking about you fat a– b***h. …You could’ve at least said congratulation you fat a– b***h. Tried to put me all out. She just had my son, b***h. She still with me. …I don’t give no f**k about no XXL now. I’m boutta get disrespectful.”
Famous Dex and his girlfriend recently welcomed a son into the world last week. The “Dex Meets Dexter” rapper spoke on the issues he had with his baby mama after his child’s birth.
“She been here on my side,” Dex said. “We’ve been through ups an downs. We stick around each other. Them real relationships know how it feel.”
Dex said the birth of his child has inspired him to become a better person.
“It’s time to think big. It’s no more about me,” Dexter said. “If y’all think I changed, blame it on the little man. If y’all think I became a lame, blame it on the little man. It’s time to become fathers. It’s time to do what the f**k I gotta do for my son. My son and my daughters.”
