Rick Ross Expresses Support For Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson’s Legal Battles

Rick Ross got Ochocinco’s back. The Maybach rapper expressed support for the embattled NFL free agent wide receiver after he was sentenced to 30 days in jail for tapping his attorney’s buttocks during a court hearing.

“A minor setback for a major comeback. @ochocinco,” Ross wrote on his Twitter
account.

The slight backside pat drew laughter in the courtroom, but also the ire of Broward County Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh.

“I don’t know that you’re taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this?” McHugh said. “The whole courtroom was laughing. I’m not going to accept these plea negotiations. This isn’t a joke.”

Ocho appeared in court for a probation after failing to meet with his probation officer for three months.

Ocho, whose birth name is Chad Johnson, was to initially receive a lenient deal after prosecutors agreed to community service and counseling. But Mchugh reconsidered after the tap.

She additionally gave the athlete an additional three months probation.

Ocho was then handcuffed and taken to jail.

Ocho later tweeted, “Love me through the good and the bad because I’m gone love you regardless… See you in 30.”
