Smylez Talks Relationship With 069 Bricksquad Brother Lil JoJo and ‘BDK (3HunnaK)’ Song

Smylez is an original 069 Bricksquad native. The prolific Chi Town producer was very good friends with aspiring rap artist Lil JoJo before his untimely demise.

The “6916” artist touched on his relationship with JoJo during an interview with Zack TV.

“That was my little bro since I was little shorty; since we was like motherf-cking nine and 10, 10 and 11,” he said. “He used to run to my little front gate talking sh-t. That was the first time I met little bro. We grew up together, man. I watched little bro grow up.”

Smylez revealed JoJo wasn’t initially interested in rapping but called him expressing excitement in his song “BDK.”

“He hit me up like ‘Wassup Smylez… I got this song called BDK,’” Smylez explained. “I’m like ‘BDk? You going crazy fool.’ I seen the guys was behind him… I let him record the song. He end up shooting the video.”

Smylez admits he was surprised by the song’s global response.

“I knew it was gonna be big,” he said. “I didn’t know it was gonna be global. I ain’t know the whole world was watching doing in one little city. I ain’t peep that. I ain’t never think about that.”
