Tyga Sparks Controversy with Instagram Photo of Egyptian Pharaoh Statue

YMCMB artist Tyga is sparking controversy after instagramming a photo of an Egyptian pharaoh statue below an album plaque.

The instagram photo shows a sitting Egyptian statue with two ankh symbols carved beside its legs.

Tyga captioned the photo “Kingshit.”

The photo received mixed responses from his followers.

One user “lilduck310” accused Tyga of belonging to the illuminati

“Illuminati shit. You going to hell to Tyga. #neverplaywithjesus #December21isReal # JesusWinsInTheEnd,” the user wrote.

Other users debated the actual skin tone of the ancient Egyptians.

“@gianthairypickl pig .. You obviously don’t look at the hieroglyphics Ni**er cause if Yu did most of painting of themselves were of dark skin complexion f*ck boy,” alb_thegre9test wrote.

Tyga is particularly fond of the Egyptian culture. Tyga can be seen wearing an Egyptian snap back in the “Rack City” official music video.

Many African Americans view ancient Egyptian culture as a symbol of black pride for all the contributions the Egyptians made to the world in science, arithmetic and medicine, to name a few.

The ankh symbol represents life. The symbol, itself, is representation of male and female. The oval represents a vagina, while the upright line represents a penis.
