A woman has been charged wit vehicular manslaughter in an April 14 accident that killed a University of Massachusetts student, Daily Hampshire Gazette reports.
Brittini Benton, 23, is charged with killing UMass senior Daniel J. Haley after she struck his motorcycle. Haley died instantly after he was thrown from his vehicle.
Benton also struck another vehicle driven by 57-year-old Jon Weeks, Daily Hampshire Gazette reports.
Benton faces reportedly faces charges of manslaughter by motor vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, felony motor vehicle homicide, operating under the influence of alcohol with negligence causing serious bodily injury, aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, operating under the influence of alcohol second offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
