Only God knows what XXXTentacion is going through. X is indecisive over whether he wants to end his music career or not. The Broward County native told fans he would end his retirement only if Ski Mask The Slump God will be his friend again.
“If you want me to make music, tell Ski Mask to be my friend again,” X said in his IG Story video. “Tell Ski Mask to be my friend again and I will make music. Tell him to be my friend again.”
X told fans Sunday he was deleting all of his music from Soundcloud.
XXXTentacion told fans on Friday, Oct. 27 that he was retiring from music.
X wrote in his IG Story, “Sad to announce I will not be making or releasing any music, I am tired of being mentally abused for trying to help people, I’m tired of the hate, I’m done.”
X’s retirement announcement came just days after he told followers he terminated his $6 million contract with Capitol Records.
“I am not a signed artist, and I will not be releasing music for a very long time, I’m tired of this s---,” he wrote in his Instagram story.
Sources told Billboard the deal is worth $6 million. X was officially signed under Capitol Music Group’s subsidiary Carolina. His deal was to cover unreleased music.
X was a hot sign for Caroline. The Florida artist’s debut album, “17,” was released via Bad Vibes Forever/Empire Records on Aug. 25, and debuted on the Billboard 200 with 87,000 albums sold in its first week. It has sold 313,000 album copies sold far.
