Young Jeezy Drops Trayvon Martin Tribute ‘It’s A Cold World’

Young Jeezy felt compelled to voice his thoughts on the recent ruling in the George Zimmerman trial.

A jury, comprised of six women, deliberated for more than 16 hours before finding George Zimmerman not guilty Saturday night.

Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Jenkins, dropped a tribute track “It’s A Cold World” to honor the memory of slain teen Trayvon Martin.

Jeezy issued a statement via Facebook to the Fulton and Martin family, writing, “I would like to offer you strength to you and the family through this entire ordeal. I pray that justice is served and the memory of Trayvon is carried though you and through all of us. “

The CTE frontman also wanted to convey to fans that he is not using Martin’s death for personal gain.

“I am in no way shape, form, or fashion trying to capitalize off of the latest series of events,” the “R.I.P.” rapper wrote on Facebook. “These are my true feelings and my form of expression about it.”
