Young Thug is continuing to follow his idol Lil Wayne’s every move. Thugger announced he is planning to release his forthcoming project “Slime Season” on the same July 4 drop date as Tunechi’s “Free Weezy Album.”

Thug took to IG to tease a new record while announcing the Independence Day drop date. Thug’s project is entirely produced London On Da Track.

Weezy broke the news of project’s release date to a huge crowd in California at Anaheim’s Heat Ultra Lounge OC during his “Release Partiez” tour.

“My name is Tunechi,” he said, “I got a new album coming out. It’ll be out on the Fourth Of July.”
