3 Hunna OTF And GBE Honor Black Disciple Founder David Barksdale On B-Day

3 Hunna recently celebrated the birth date of Black Disciple founder David Barksdale. Barksdale was born May 24, 1947.

Members from the OTF and GBE camps, including Lil Durk, Capo, Fredo Santana and Prince Dre, took to social media to honor Barksdale.

Barksdale is credited with forming the Black Disciple Nation in 1966 after his gang Devil’s Disciples joined with other area gangs in the Englewood neighborhood.

Barksdale would go on to unite the BDs with Larry Hoover’s Supreme Gangster to form the Black Gangster Disciple Nation in 1969.

Barksdale went under the name “King David” and adopted Judaism’s six-point star for the gang. Barksdale later died from kidney failure in 1974 as a result of a shooting in 1967

The Black Disciples later disbanded from the Black Gangster Disciples following a disagreement with the direction of the organization.
