Ace Hood was the talk of Twitter during the 2013 BET Awards, but not for his pre-show performance.

Ace Hood, born Antoine McColister, experienced a jewelry malfunction after the bezel of his watch fell off during a live interview with 106 & Park hosts Bow Wow and Angela Simmons.

Ace explained the embarrassing incident during a radio interview with Mando Fresko.

“During the interview a little situation went down with my watch,” the “Bugatti” rapper said. “At the end of the day when you spend so much money on a watch, certain things are not supposed to happen. I had to fire the jeweler. He going through it, man.”

The “We The Best” artist told Fresko he spent $60,000 on the watch and was “just as shocked as everybody else” when the malfunction occurred.

“For it to happen right then and there at that moment… I was like you can happen anywhere else… I just performed,” Ace explained. “I just ripped down the stage and everything, but you chose to let it be there. That’s how I know the devil be working, man.”
