Chicago Lingo Challenge (Compilation)

Hip Hop has been influential in exposing black culture from many metropolitan cities across the nation. Terms such as “son,” “dun” and “b” have come to be associated with New York. The term “thur” has come to be associated with St. Louis. The term “ya heard me” has its origins in N’Awlins. Atlanta can be credited with having everyone saying “shawty.”

Chicago is now the new “it” city in Hip Hop. The Windy City’s urban community has introduced to the scene terms like “thot,” “fe fe” and “bronem,” to name a few. A few natives of the Chi came up with a Chicago Lingo Challenge. Kollege Kidd put together a hilarious compilation of residents spitting their lingo. Check it out above.
