Chicago lingo may be a new realm of vocabulary for fans of the art.

One of the more commonly used phrases in the music is “Off The Shits.”

Chief Keef took to Twitter to educate his fans on the terminology.

“Off The Shits Means U Be Off Drugs Weeds, lean Etc,” Chief Keef said.



Weeks ago, the “Hate Being Sober” rapper defined the term “Thot” for fans.

The term “thot” is a negative term for a woman.

“Thot = That Hoe Over There Thots = Them Hoes Over There,” he wrote.



Chief Keef commonly uses the term in his music.

In “My Niggas,” Chief Keef raps, “B*tch, I got a lot of f*cking thots.”

Chicago culture is slowly creeping into mainstream Hip Hop. It may not be long before the Windy City’s terminology becomes common usage in the rap sphere.
