Lil Bibby gave fans “Free Crack.” Now, the East Side native is prepping the release of his debut EP titled “The Book.”
An “EP” is short for extended play. It is a musical recording that contains more music than a single, but is too short to qualify as a full studio album or LP.
Bibby is hard at work in the studio writing his narrative.
“I’m like four songs in,” Bibby told XXL. “I got four or five songs, and I’m tryna put eight joints on there. Seven or eight. I’m really thinking about that.”
The lead single to this project, according to Bibby, will be titled “Dead Or In Prison.”
The title of his debut EP was suggested by a fan on Twitter, Bibby recalls.
“I went to Twitter and I asked somebody for help with the titled, and they came up with ‘The Book Of Bibby,’ and I was just thinking like ‘Why don’t I just name it ‘The Book,’” the “Bibby Story” rapper said.
Bibby is looking to release the project right before summer.
“…EP will probably be out in six weeks, six to eight weeks,” he said.
