In recent weeks, news sources have attributed Odom’s troubles to a drug addiction.
The NBA veteran free agent’s recent arrest on a suspicion of driving under the influence added fuel to rumors.
Citing confidential sources, RadarOnline is claiming Odom is addicted to OxyContin despite various media outlets’ reports of crack c------.
ESPN reported Odom’s closest friends staged an intervention with him inside a hotel room.
Players around the league are offering moral support to Odom and his family.
Former Los Angeles Lakers teammate Pau Gasol commented on the ordeal, writing, “I wish my friend @RealLamarOdom is doing well. All these rumors are really worrying me. Lamar is one of the best guys I’ve ever played with.”
NBA Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson also offered support.
“I hope my man and former Laker, Lamar Odom is doing okay,” he wrote.
