Meek Mill’s Attorney Wants Judge Removed From Case

#MeekMill’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, is attempting to get Judge Genece E. Brinkley removed the case. Brinkley sentenced Meek Mill to two to four years for violating his probation last week in a Philadelphia courtroom. ______________ Tacopina is now filing a motion for Brinkley to remove herself from his case, and will also be filing an official complaint with the judicial conduct board, TMZ reports. ____________ Tacopina will also be reportedly applying to Pennsylvania’s Board of Pardons. The process for this takes at least three years. _____________ Supporters of Meek Mill have created a petition – currently at 300,000 signatures – calling for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and Governor Tom Wolf to have Meek’s “unjust prison sentence remedied.” _____________ A spokesperson for Wolf says his hands are tied by state law.
