Montana of 300 is currently prepping the release of his “Don’t Doubt The God,” his third album.
Montana sparked a bit of controversy when promoting the project. Montana told followers the intro to his upcoming project is better than K. Dot’s newly released “Damn” album.
Montana wrote, “The intro to ‘“Don’t Doubt the God”’ is better than @kendricklamar whole album #MuchRespect #ButFacts #RapGod #DDTG 5-20-17.”
Many may argue Montana may be out of his league. K. Dot posted impressive numbers for his fourth studio album. The Bompton emcee sold 603,000 copies of his project in the first week since its release, Billboard reports.
Kendrick’s album debuted atop the Billboard 200 album chart Sunday with highest sales figures of 2017 thus far, Newsweek reports.
Kendrick reportedly sold 353,000 in traditional digital download sales. He sold 227,000 units in streaming equivalent numbers. An additional 23,000 units came from track equivalent album (TEA) sales.
Montana’s “Don’t Doubt The God” is scheduled to drop May 20.
