A Chicago man suspected of shooting and killing 7-year-old Amari Brown in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on Saturday, July 4 was arrested Wednesday in Superior, Wisconsin.

Antonio Brown, father of Amari Brown who was fatally shot on the Fourth of July, is defending himself against criticism from Chicago Superintendent Garry McCarthy.

Community residents came together Monday to protest the fatal shooting of 7-year-old Amari Brown.

Superintendent Garry McCarthy said the bullet that claimed the life of little Amari Brown was meant for his father who he says is a ranking gang member.
