It was learned recently the mothers of Howard University students Lauren Cofield and Laurin Compton have been stripped of their Alpha Kappa Alpha membership.

Two Alpha Kappa Alpha interests have filed a lawsuit against the sorority and Howard University for allegations of hazing and the violation of their human rights, the Washington City Paper reports.
