Authorities have charged two suspects in the Sept. 26, 2013 shooting death of rising Chicago rapper L’A Capone.

“I don’t know how to begin planning a funeral for my son. I don’t know what to do. It just feel like there’s a weight sitting right here on my chest. My chest just hurt. Can’t nothing in the world prepare you for that. When I woke up yesterday morning, I didn’t think when I went to bed last night that my son wasn’t going to be here no more.”

It has been a week since Leonard Anderson’s untimely death. The 17-year-old aspiring rapper, who performed under the moniker L’A Capone, was gunned down upon leaving a recording studio Sept. 26.

L’A Capone, an up and coming artist who hailed from Chicago’s 600 block, succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting upon leaving a recording studio.
