There are rappers who won’t let Lil JoJo rest in peace. Texas native Tay-K is the latest rapper to disrespect the slain Chiraq rapper.
JoJo, whose birth name was Joseph Coleman, was shot and killed during a drive-by on Sept. 4, 2012.
Tay-K mocked the death of JoJo in song “Gun Him Down.”
He raps, ““We was three deep, we had four poles/One of these n****s gon get Lil JoJo.”
Tee Grizzley was the last rapper to disrespectfully name-drop JoJo’s name in a song.
In the original version of song “No Effort,” Tee Grizzley raps, “Extendo on the glock, that b***h long as a pogo/Let Lil Durk music get you hype and join JoJo.”
Tee Grizzley has since removed the disrespectful JoJo line from the record.
The new version has Tee rapping, “Extendo on the glock, that b***h long as a pogo/In Chicago, at Soho/FN like I’m Ro-Ro.”
Tay-K is currently in jail on a capital murder charge. He was arrested last week after being on the run for fleeing house arrest. Tay-K is charged with the murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker during a home invasion robbery in Mansfield, TX.
Tay-K is a suspect in another murder in San Antonio after fleeing house arrest, the Star-Telegram reports. He is also accused of beating and robbing a 65-year-old man in Arlington’s Craven Park.
Tay-K was captured Friday, June 30 after U.S. Marshalls’ New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force found him in Elizabeth, NJ, NBCDFW.com reports.
Tay-K ok’d the release of his music video for song “The Race” upon his arrest. Tay-K poses with his own wanted flier in the visual. Tay-K also calls himself a shooter like slain Chicago rapper Young Pappy.
He raps, “I tote 50s, I’m a shooter like Young Pappy/B***h tried rob me, make her dance, Michael Jackson.”
