Sherman Hemsley, who found fame as the star of popular 70’s show ‘The Jeffersons,’ has died, The Huffington Post reports.
Hemsley reportedly was found in El Paso, TX home where he passed away at age 74.
Hemsley was very active in the entertainment industry. He first got his start as Jefferson in the 1970 sitcom “All in the Family.” His character became so popular he earned his own spin-off series ‘The Jeffersons.”
Hemsley also starred in popular cult-classic film “Screwed” with Daniel Benzali and Dave Chappelle.
Hemsley never married and has no children.
