In newly released Tallahassee Police Department interrogation tapes, two members of Kappa Kappa Psi fraternity are seen describing the hazing rituals that took place a two faculty members’ houses, WCTV reports.
Florida A&M students Jamon Green and Jamaal Nicholson were 2010 initiates of Kappa Kappa Psi. they were subjected to hazing rituals that took place at faculty members Diron Holloway and Anthony Simons residences.
Green told an interrogator “People do get necked when we’re initiates or whatever.”
Green described “necking” as slaps on the neck or back.
An interrogator asked Nicholson if he remembers Holloway and Simons taking part in the rituals.
“I can’t say I actually remember them putting their hands on people,” Nicholson said. “But they were present.”
The interrogator then asked Nicholas if the rituals were “Tradition.”
Nicholas responded, “Pretty much.”
“You mess up and you probably get necked and it has been going on for years and years,” the interrogator said.
Nicholas replied, “Yes.”
