A 16-month-old baby’s murder has sparked outrage in a Brooklyn, New York community.
Renowned filmmaker and Brooklynite Spike Lee took to Twitter to mourn baby Antiq Hennis’ death and call for an end of violence.
“1 Year Old Brooklyn Boy ANTIQ HENNIS Gets Shot In Head And Is Murdered. This Madness Has To Stop. BLACK GENOCIDE,” he wrote.
Baby Hennis died after suffering a gunshot wound to his head as he was riding in his stroller Sunday evening.
Anthony Hennis, the boy’s father, picked the infant up from the home of his girlfriend to take to his grandparents’ home when four shots rang out.
One bullet struck young Hennis and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities are saying the bullet was meant for the elder Hennis.
