Woman In Detroit Gas Station Shooting Sentenced To Prison

Shamicah Burton will be in prison for a very long time after she was convicted of assault with intent to murders and weapons charges, WDIV reports.

Burton, 20, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years on the assault charge and 2 to 5 years on the weapons charges.

She was also charged in an armed robbery a day before the shooting incident.

Burton issued a semi-apology in court.

“I apologize to the people that I robbed,” she said. “I have nothing to say about the attempted murder.”

Burton was seen on surveillance video shooting into a Pontiac Grand Prix at a gas station. The driver of the Grand Prix was hit several times.
