Chief Keef was allegedly involved in the early morning March 5 shooting that landed an unnamed victim in the hospital Wednesday morning.

The victim who was taken to the hospital allegedly called WGN newsroom, saying, “Chief Keef shot me.”

Police in Northfield roped off an area around the residence, according to WGN. The North Regional Major Crimes Task Force was also reportedly at the scene.

Chief Keef has previously engaged in paintball fights at his home, but never anything of this magnitude.

Fredo even let off a couple rounds in Sosa’s home before with a BB gun.

Much of Chief Keef’s career has been plagued by legal woes. He was also headed down the wrong path prior to his deal.

At age 15, Chief Keef, born Keith Cozart, was charged with manufacture and delivery of heroin, a Class X felony, according to the police records obtained by DNAinfo.com. He was sentenced to home confinement.

On Dec. 2, 2011, Police responded to a call of shots fired just before noon on the 6100 block of South Indiana, according to DNAinfo.com.

Police confronted Chief Keef as he was walking out of his grandmother’s apartment complex. Chief Keef, who was 16 years old at the time, brandished a loaded “blue-steel handgun” and eluded police for a half-block before being apprehended.

While in pursuit, police fires several shots at Cozart, but missed, according to a police report obtained by DNAinfo.com.

Though the rapper, born Keith Cozart, didn’t fire his weapon, he did point his gun at officers- twice.

Cozart reportedly was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm on a police officer and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon- all felonies. He was sentenced to home confinement at his grandmother’s house

Chief Keef remained on probation following his release from home confinement. This ended up biting him later in the butt after he was charged violating his probation for handling a firearm during an interview with pitchfork.

He was subsequently sentenced to 60 days in juvenile detention.

He was released and found himself in trouble with the law once again after being caught speeding on Edens expressway in June 2013.

He was placed on probation as a result. Sosa again violated probation after failing a drug test. He was ordered to undergo rehab in California.

Sosa successfully completed rehab on Feb. 28, but was caught a few days later driving under the influence of marijuana.

Police reportedly stopped Sosa early March 5 for driving his 2010 Jeep Cherokee with expired tags. Police smelled marijuana upon approaching the “Hate Being Sober” rapper’s vehicle.

Sosa reportedly failed a sobriety test and was later placed under arrest for DUI, driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance.

He was reportedly released after posting $300 bail.

Chief Keef is scheduled to be arraigned on April 11 for his DUI charge, according to the Chicago Tribune. Sosa will be formally read his criminal charges and enter a plea at a Waukegan courthouse in Lake County.
