Chief Keef was a low down, dirty cutthroat from O’Block. Now he’s a Glo’d up cutthroat. He’s the same savage. The only difference is he has a couple bucks in his pocket. In song “5AM,” which appears on “Sorry 4 The Weight,” Sosa raps, “Used to be from O’Block, now I’m from that Glo Block.”
But Chief Keef isn’t knocking his roots. Sosa may be coolin on the beach in L.A., but he expressed what his hometown of Chicago meant to him in the intro of S4TW.
“What does Chicago mean to me? I mean, that’s my city so it means a lot. You know that;s where I’m from, you know what I’m sayin. That’s one of the best cities in the world to me. …It’s an honor to be able to say that I’m from Chicago. …In the motherf-cking south side, Midwest south side. …It is the Midwest, but I’m from the South Side of the Midwest. …064, 061… I mean no matter what, win or lose… that’s my city and I love em.”
