G Herbo released his latest project “Strictly 4 My Fans” in hopes of keeping fans’ ears occupied until the release of his debut album “Humble Beast.” Herb let it be known that his project was mainly for the “lower class,” which he believes comprises his core fanbase.
Herb took to IG to regard himself as a member of the “lower class” and “less fortunate” as well as a product of “violence and poverty.”
Despite calling himself a “statistic,” Herb also calls himself and “businessman” and “tax paying citizen.”
Herb wrote, “I AM A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL TO A CERTAIN EXTENT… BUT I AM ALSO #ME!! A YOUNG BLACK MAN FROM CHICAGO THAT STILL FACES RACISM ON A DAILY IN AIRPORTS, UBER CARS, STORES & SO ON.. THATS WHY SPEAK IN THAT MÄNNER THRU MY MUSIC I SPEAK FOR THE PPL WHO LIVE THE LIFE I LIVE TODAY AND MUCH WORSEEEEE.. THE LIFE I LIVED BEFORE!! WE ARE THE LOWER CLASS JUST LIKE @meekmill SAID… SO I MAKE LOWER CLASS MUSIC!!! THE UPPER CLASS THEY PROBABLY LISTEN TO @DONALDTRUMP ON THE RADIO.. && IT AINT NO MIDDLE CLASS NO NEUTRAL CLASS OR NO IN BETWEEN CLASS… YOU EITHER THIS OR YOU #THAT.”
Meek Mill co-signed Herb’s statement on his personal IG account.
Last week, Herb took to IG to reveal what he hoped to accomplish with his project.
HE WROTE, “IM TRYNA BRING YALL STRUGGLE PAIN HAPPINESS & PROGRESS ALL IN ONE…. ALL THAT BUILT IN TOGETHER MIGHT JUST SHOW GROWTH… IDK #Strictly4MyFans THIS JUST A PIECE OF ME TO LET YAL GET USED TO BUT NOT TOO USED TO!! #swervooo #Nolimitations #HumbleBeast ON THE WAY!!!”
