Jamie Rohrs, his fiancé Patricia Legarreta, and children were invited to attend the church of Jarell Brook’s parents. The family survived the Dark Knight shooting massacre that claimed the lives of 12 people and left 58 injured.

As chaos erupted, Rohrs placed his baby son Ethan on the floor and contemplated whether to jump over a balcony. He thought to himself, “Can I jump with Ethan without him breaking his neck?”
